Ingredients
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups finely chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
Instructions
- Use a food processor to finely chop the mushrooms.
- Combine all of the ingredients (except for the olive oil, swiss cheese & buns) in a bowl until the mixture is cohesive (note: it will not stick together like ground meat)
- Use a hamburger press to make patties from the mixture.
- Cook in olive oil in a frying pan for 3-5 minutes on each side; melt swiss cheese on top and serve with buns.
